Meeting series, “Mental Health, Faith, Mindfulness, and the Connection Beyond!”

Last Meeting- July 17th- We continued the conversation on "Mental Health, Faith, and the Connection Beyond!" We had a wonderful discussion on how receive assistance, and assist the faith communities in Johnson Countyin creating a stronger connection between Faith, Spirituality, and MentalHealth. We discussed current challenges, misperceptions, and gaps in knowledge as

we created a strategy for taking this conversation and a connective message out into the community.

*CBMCS Training*-CANCELED 

Unfortunately due to a few trainers no longer in the area, and in efforts not to over request the current MHC Tarrant area trainers, it has been established not to request this training more than once a year, and they have already filled this commitment.
If we would like to look at future years, there may be more possibility to partner with MHC Tarrant 

August 18th-Saturday- Family Matters Back to School Bash- 

                    10am-3pm, 2915 South Burleson Blvd., Burleson, TX, 76028

Join us at Mind Above Matter for a fun day for families in Johnson County from 10am-3pm. We will have FREE Food, FREE store of family needs, resource booths, health screening, fun activities like inflatables, Basketball skills, toss games, and more. We are collecting new and slightly used items for families including babies, children, adolescence, adults, and households. We are looking for school and art supplies, games, clothing and shoes for all ages, and any helpful household items. Paper towels, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, tooth brush and past, soap, shampoo, conditioner, pillows, blankets, sheets, bath towels, and any helpful household items. A big Round of Applause to Linda Brandt, Stephanie Davis, and Cynthia Ward for joining the board. We are super proud to have them involved! Please be thinking about yourself or recommending someone to join the MHCC Board and Help continue the efforts of Mental Health Community
Connections of Johnson County. Board meeting are held prior to the monthly meetings from 10-11am. We are currently accepting nominations for two remaining board positions.

Please bring a friend! Shares how the work we all are doing in our respective fields and organizations is connected in more ways than we might realize! We are all in this together, and good Mental Health is at the core! We all have a seat at this table! The social, emotional, and cognitive stress effects the mental health of everyone in the community and our ability to work together can help lead a positive impact on Johnson County and Beyond! Come, Connect and Collaborate!
